Gear Slot

The slots for gear will quickly fill up early in the game, resulting in the common message "Your Gear Slots Are Full". This message prevents Max from acquiring new equipment until the previous items are removed or a larger space has been obtained. Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the solution to this problem. They offer more inventory space for completing challenging missions. However, because the majority of these challenges are scattered around the globe and are easily overlooked, it may take some time to get the largest amount of inventory slots in the game.

Five Gear Slots can be filled with up to five different types of gear. These must be selected in the Gear Selection menu before a Break-In begins. Each gear item (except for the Pistol) is a part of one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as the grouping of Grenades) only uses one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock various agency pickups that are on the map. These locations let you keep items that do not fit into your concealed slot for gear or weapon and then retrieve it later.

These pickups can be very useful if your mission requires you to go through a frisk, or if you carry a weapon with you that might otherwise raise suspicion. You can only hide only one item at a pick-up location.

This DLC adds new contracts for asset protection and security to the agency. To start these missions, simply talk to the receptionist of the agency and stock up on armor and snacks. Then, walk to the stated mission marker and spot a group at the time of arrival.
