The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's mid-range. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and numerous features such as a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is set up it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal or two thorough mappings of your space to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush however, iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is superior as its spinning pads scrub floors better than a vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but it's an affordable price to pay if you want one of the best budget robot vacuum robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is also larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or watch television without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and move on whenever it comes across one.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's items that need to be cleaned out regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also features a new sensor system that better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can complete a cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, so you can use it even if you're not home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead just following a specific route.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor best robot vacuum that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of features that you don't often see on robots in this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great however they can push the L10s into the premium category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The central control panel has an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and best robot vacuum preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the floor, or Quaker oats on carpet.
