The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you are looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as other models do to map your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup it can begin automated cleaning with a single button click. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even pick up pet hair without difficulty. It's not able to work with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common however we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the high price tag.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is better as its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than a vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but that's an affordable cost to pay if want to get one of the best robot vacuum for pet hair robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, produce minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it comes across the wall or a piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the hidden bin and also washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something needs attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend drying them with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you can wish for. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum and mop known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in both height and depth, and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're at home. It also has a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features you do not often find on robots at this price range. It is able to build precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. But while these functions are useful but they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category and could mean it's a little more expensive than the average homeowner need.

It is designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving around the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will shut it off and send it to its base station. The control panel is a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes or schedules, Best Robot Vacuum and Mop as well as preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can tweak how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your house. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and removing all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
