Another method to determine if your door is misaligned is to measure the gap between the frame and the door. If the gap between the frame and the door is greater than half an inch, it's most likely that your lock is not aligned correctly.

Door frame fixings can be adjusted by using an Allen key. After the fixings have been installed then make sure to tighten them. Don't tighten them too tightly, as they can cause the door to slide.

Applying lubricant to your lock is a good idea, especially if it is an extremely heavy-glazed door. This will lessen the tension on the locking mechanism and stop it from breaking.
