The store's algorithm selects clothes based on personal information provided by the user and allows customers to request more sizes and styles via touchscreen displays in each of the stores' 40 fitting rooms.

The employees greet customers and ask if it is their first visit to the store. They offer to assist customers. The app then suggests similar items based on what they like. They're also asked to share their style, fit and other details using the app to receive more specific suggestions.

When you enter the store, an employee will lead the customer into an area where they can try on the outfits the algorithm suggested. The customer is able to swipe up or down on a touchscreen to decide if they are satisfied with the outfit. If they'd like to try different items the staff will ask them to return to the dressing area with additional options.

The store stocks a range of well-known brands such as Champion and Amazon Essentials. It also sells Levi's and Adidas, as well as Kendall & Kylie and BB Dakota. There are also special edition collections that are curated by influencers.

One of our experts, Vargas, was a big fan of the Prettygarden collection that she described as "like the perfect blend of feminine and professional." She found a lot beautiful, romantic pieces that would work well for bridal showers and summer brunches. Laudort, on the other hand, was in love with the brand's sleek, blazer gowns with bows and lace.

Another expert, GlobalData's Neil Saunders, was a bit less impressed with the store. Saunders said that, while the store was innovative, it lacked an understanding of the market and was "too complex." Saunders said he believes Amazon is still dedicated to brick-and mortar retail, but that its decision to shut down its bookstores and 4-Star stores indicates that Amazon is focusing on what matters most to consumers.
